    of course. it’s because CLAMP is the character designer for code geass, but their not the artist. it’s a good thing they used CLAMP’s design for the anime, because the manga’s graphics kinda sucked.

    Ok then, I’ll try. First off. NGE (anime+End of Eva) is Reality (capital R). In instrumentality in Reality, Shinji (as God) creates infinite new worlds. This is what Ghost-Asuka is refering to when she is talking with “God”. Ghost-Asuka is Asuka from Reality. Shinji from Reality body-hops between the Shinjis of the alternate realities trying to find one in which he is happy. Re-Take “documents” as it were, the final universe hop Shinji (from Reality) makes.

    Summary time
    R-Shinji (Reality Shinji) possesses Re-take Shinji, giving him the opening dream (ie his memories of End of Evangelion). Using this knowledge, Re-Take/R-Shinji avoid that future. In addition, he grows closer to Re-Take Asuka.

    This is all fine up until Ghost-Asuka (Reality Asuka) starts appearing before Shinji in the form of hallucinations. He ignores these, and is about to marry Asuka when Armisael appears, and everything falls apart for Shinji. Gendo returns to being a bastard of an even greater rank (killing his daughter-in-law) and Shinji falls into a depression. And Ghost-Asuka pulls him out of his mental block only to futher torment him. (motives explained later). She also reveals that Shinji is the final Angel.

    JSSDF attack, and Shinji moves to sacrifice himself for the mentally-damaged Asuka. Ghost-Asuka doesn’t understand, until she is confronted by “God”. “God” reveals that Shinji is only world-hopping because he truly loves Asuka and wants to be with her, but believes that Reality-Asuka hates him. So he creates alternate worlds (think S/A fanfics.) where he is with Asuka.

    Ghost-Asuka realises what she’s done, and helps Shinji vs the MP EVAs and the Lance. Shinji moves to kill himself in this reality, knowing that his life as the final Angel will result in the destruction of the world. Only for Ghost-Asuka to forgive him.

    Shinji and Re-Take Asuka marry, and have a child. Misato and Kaji get together. Everything’s happy. Then Re-Take Shinji realises that he’s possessed by Reality Shinji. Realising this, Reality-Shinji (ie GOD!) shatters time, has a conversation with Ghost-Asuka, and then kills himself after the MP Eva battle. Reality Shinji and Reality (Ghost) Asuka end up at End of Evangelion, but knowing they love eachother. They forgive each other, and fall asleep side by side. And another human returns from the LCL soup. Happy ending in Reality NGE.

    In Re-Take universe, Shinji and Asuka are both alive after the suicide pulled by Reality Shinji. But they have forgotten the entirety of Re-Take. Then Re-Take After happens, but I should avoid spoiling it.
